A Veterans Day Thank You
I know it has already been said so many times before, but in my opinion there are not enough opportunities for us to show our appreciation to the warriors who have hunkered down in the fox holes in foreign lands ready and waiting to defend all of us here in the land of the free and the brave. I can only imagine how much endurance it would take to live out in the real elements in a battle field where the weather and elements do not put on hold their seasons just so our brave men and women could be comfy and cozy warm. Yes, I can only imagine what it would be like to be far away from your family and friends and be out in the thick of the battlefield defending the freedom for thousands of people you would never ever meet, and even more thousands who had not yet been born.
Yes, there are just not enough opportunities to say “Thank You” but since today is Veterans Day thankfully here in the good ol’ United States of America, I will proudly and freely express my heartfelt “THANK YOU” to all of the Warriors who by volunteerism or draft have served our country and put their lives at risk for me, and for you.
Today you will hear a lot of prodding to thank a Veteran and many of you will as you freely can, I am hoping that instead of just thanking our Warriors, think of just one reason why you are thankful and then tell them so.
Here are just a few reasons and by no means all of the reasons I am personally thankful for our what our Warriors have and are doing for me today …
“Thank you for hunkering down in that fox hole for me so I can go to work on this fine beautiful Colorado Monday, and Thank you for braving out all the storms on the battlefield so I can freely pick up my Mom to just hang out with her for the day, and Thank you for enduring all that you went through which allows me to have my loving family that I enjoy each and everyday.”
