When is a Sale a Bargain?
Given our Metro Denver and Mountain Resort community focus on replacement windows, I spend time on our competitor’s websites. They almost always are offering a special. Here are a couple of examples:
Hmm – buy one and get 40% off one … 40% off what? How do you know? Or save $500 … How are the “savings” determined?
The vast majority of homeowners will only replace windows once. Thus, there is no frame of reference from past purchases that can validate the sale the way you can with groceries, for example. What you can be sure of is that there is a bean counter – remember I am a reformed one – at these companies that is making sure that profit margins are maintained.
At SolarGlass, our pricing is always straight forward and without gimmick. It is still valid to ask the question how do you know, but at least we make no claims regarding special pricing to make you believe you have to act now to lock in the savings.
