    Controller

    The controller will be based out of our Aurora, Colorado Operations Center and after an initial on-boarding and training period, will be able to take advantage of a flexible work schedule.

    Role Overview

    We are looking for a seasoned Controller to join our leadership team and to take full responsibility for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.  In addition, the controller works with the President to oversee cash and risk management.  We are looking for someone with great experience but does not think day to day accounting is beneath them.

    The controller will manage the Company’s two-person accounting team and develop an organization structure and division of duties such that the following deliverables are accomplished:

    Transactions

    • Ensure that AP balances are accurate and appropriate discounts are taken
    • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
    • Develop and record invoices, collect and remit sales tax payments
    • Records cash receipts and make remote bank deposits
    • Process payroll in a timely manner
    • Ensure that monthly bank reconciliations are completed
    • Prepare and maintain all journal entries with supporting documentation
    • Prepares construction in progress entries during installation of projects

    Management

    • Maintains and enforces a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
    • Maintains a system of controls over accounting transactions
    • Assure cash and balance sheet accounts (including payroll, fixed assets, customer deposits and inventory) are reconciled.
    • Calculate variances from budgets and forecasts
    • Provide financial analysis as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations

    Reporting

    • Issues timely and complete monthly financial statements
    • Calculates and issue financial and operating metrics
    • Develop annual budgets and forecasts
    • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
    • Function as the primary liaison with the independent auditors in connection with the annual audit and tax return preparation

    Position Qualifications

    The controller candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in mid to large size companies, including 2 to 3 years of management experience.

    Signature Windows + Doors operates on a hosted, Epicor BisTrack ERP platform with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains integration.  Prior experience with Great Plains is required and experience with enterprise ERP platforms strongly preferred.

    Experience with construction accounting is strongly preferred.

    Compensation:

    Base compensation between $105 - $120k and on target total compensation between $130 - $145k.

    Variable compensation is tied to department performance, KPIs, and overall company performance.

    Overview

    The Director of Sales is a dynamic sales professional responsible for leading the sales team, driving Revenue, Gross Profit and ultimately Operating Income. The primary responsibilities of the role are to recruit, develop, coach, and retain a best-in-class sales organization.

    The individual appropriate for this position will have a consistent record selling premium products in the building materials market.  Successful candidates will find meaning and value in being part of a team delivering the Signature Difference, Superior Window and Doors Solutions through Excellence in Execution.     This individual will be a member of the Leadership Team and will report to the President.

    Responsibilities:

    Lead the sales team by example through integrity, work ethic, and collaboration.

    Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s customers and influencers.

    Maintain a strong understanding of marketing conditions, trends, and competitive environment and communicate opportunities and threats to the leadership team.

    Create and implement strategy, organization, and processes that facilitate professional sales management and enable the sales team to drive growth in revenue and gross profit. Identify and proliferate best sales practices.

    Identify, recruit, coach, and retain high-quality sales team members.

    Hold team members accountable for meeting the activity and pipeline expectations that will over time produce the desired sales productivity levels.

    Ensure each team member’s sales pipeline is up to date, accurate, and able to support a sound forecasting process and relevant operational preparedness.

    Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager with sales support, lead generation, and business development.

    Experience Required:

    • 5 – 10 years of meaningful managerial/leadership experience leading sales teams.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business is highly desired, but relevant experience and a proven track record of success will be strongly considered.
    • Demonstrated success selling premium products or services priced at the high end of competitive offerings.
    • Experience with high-end residential building materials is strongly preferred.
    • Fenestration industry and value proposition sales experience given additional consideration.

    Professional Window Installer

    Signature Windows + Doors is actively pursuing a skilled tradesman with top-tier window installation skills. This is a full-time “feast or famine” position that will require previous installation experience in aluminum-clad wood windows, thermally broken aluminum windows, and frameless sliding door systems.

    This position requires a high level of attention to detail, a high level of execution and deliverables, and a high level of teamwork. Not for everyone, but if this is you, we welcome you with open arms, and you will fit in great. You will be responsible for executing the installation of large windows and doors on large, detailed, new construction projects as well as turnkey replacement installations in high-end homes. The bulk of your work will be installation through punch.

    Previous experience is a must, and we will compensate as such. Part of the interview process will be hands-on to demonstrate you know the product and are familiar working with it. Talk the talk and walk the walk. Carpentry, caulking, architectural metal, and glazing skills are all advantageous.

    Must-haves:

    • Willingness to work as a team and benefit the whole
    • Valid DL and relatively clean MVR (no recent DUI)
    • Willingness to work 40+ hour weeks when needed
    • Previous and extensive aluminum-clad wood window and door installation experience -Personal tools (hand tools, tool belt) dialed for window installation tasks
    • Willingness to work on small and large crews
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Strong technical skills and quick uptake and retention of new information -Previous and intimate glazing and fenestration experience
    • Personality that is likable while still protecting SW+D
    • Creative problem solving that does not create problems

    Our receptionist is the first point of contact for customers and others visiting or calling our showroom.  As such, this person is a critical part of our brand promise, the Signature Difference.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Greet customers and visitors to the showroom with warmth and professionalism, guiding them to the proper personnel
    • Answer incoming calls in cordial, professional and timely manner, transferring calls to appropriate individuals
    • Maintain call and visitor logs and capture accurate, thorough data
    • Keep the showroom and kitchen/break room orderly and presentable
    • Handle general inquiries, including knowing what products are on display
    • Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Leadership team, such as filing, preparing for meetings, ordering food and beverages, distributing mail, etc.

    Compensation:

    Salary range for the position: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
