Here we are again nearing the end of another great summer in Colorado and as in years past this end of season marks the time when the kids have either already headed back into the classroom or will be soon. Here at SolarGlass we are proud to have helped out and hosted for a fourth time a drop off site for Janus’ annual School Supply Drive at our Cherry Creek showroom. We are happy to report that our bin has again been filled with much needed supplies to help out some of the less fortunate children who live in our community.

There are times in all of our lives when we need to reach out and ask for help. The act of asking is not an easy task alone, no matter if the help is simply a word of encouragement from a close friend or putting food on a table to feed a hungry family. It has been said that it is better to give than to receive, and I agree completely. It is a completely satisfying feeling to help out others, especially the little children who deserve to have a fair chance to succeed in their lives. Giving back to the communities where we live and work by supporting a School supply drive is just a small way of helping out.

So, now that School is back in session, let’s all keep our eyes open as we are driving out and about during our daily activities and watch out for all the excited children running about and playing before and after school. Remember too back in the days when we were young and having fun outside, and just as we had the time to run about and play wholeheartedly let’s have a little extra patience with the younger generation that is out and about playing today and help out even it is as simple as driving with extra care and watching for a wayward ball rolling out into the road which may be followed by a little guy or gal bounding after to retrieve it to resume playtime.
