HUNGER FREE COLORADO

2020 “VIRTUAL” HIKE TO END HUNGER

As difficult as it is to image, there are thousands of families across Colorado who struggle every day with hunger. It’s often an invisible problem, but it’s a serious one, and the impact of COVID-19 certainly hasn’t helped. Whether due to a job loss, health crisis, or another issue, Coloradoans who work minimum wage jobs have been the hardest hit during this crisis. For many families, the expense of nutritional food makes it unaffordable, and as a result, their health suffers.
For many years, we have been a longtime supporter of Hunger Free Colorado, a statewide nonprofit organization that connects people in need to food resources, and that drives the policies, systems and social changes needed to end hunger. We wholeheartedly share their belief that access to nutritious food is a basic human right.

With the recognition of the insane amount of food waste, businesses and their leaders should be forces for good and lead by example,” said Gwénaël Hagan.

We Support Hunger Free Colorado

This year, we were very proud to once again sponsor HFC’s Hike to End Hunger. For the first time, it was a virtual event that allowed participants to make their own trails and create personalized fundraising pages through hiketoendhunger.org to show their support. It’s always been a fun event, and a great cause we’re happy to support each year as it helps spread awareness and fund sustainable solutions for the future.
