This message comes not from SolarGlass directly, but instead, today’s blog is indirectly written by some of the very thankful kids who benefitted from the 2013 Community School Supply drive arranged by Janus and sponsored by SolarGlass as one of the many drop off locations that volunteered to set up a bin for school supplies to be donated. This year marks SolarGlass’ third year of participation, and we are very grateful to have the opportunity to contribute in this small way to help out children who may otherwise not have the means or a fair shot at their education.
So, just as in years past the kids have written thank you notes to show their appreciation in receiving the supplies which play a real part in helping them succeed in their studies, what makes this year’s “Thank you’s” so much more special are how much care and personality was written and drawn on the cards. Below is the text from each of the cards, they are just so beautifully written we had to share their appreciation which really shines in the cards. Pictures of the cards are included too, most of the kids drew houses and windows and doors which really made the cards extra special to us.

So, next time we have the opportunity to give, we will and with the mindset of “Give and don’t expect anything back, the point of giving is … giving.” However, when giving is followed by extra special thank you cards like these, receiving these cards from the kids equals a huge reward in our book.
