Last Saturday in Warroad Minnesota, Marvin Windows and Doors invited their rival Loewen Windows for a hockey match to inaugurate Warroad’s newly remodeled Olympic Arena.

A typical battle for Marvin and Loewen is found outside of the hockey arena in the field of home building and remodeling, but last Saturday, employees of the neighboring town of Steinbach, Manitoba which is about 90-miles North of Warroad traveled South for a face-off in the Hockey arena. The two high profile window and door manufacturers paired up to help raise funds for new tables and seating in the arena lobby. Admission was no-charge for the game, but free-will donations were accepted to help with the fundraising efforts, including concession sales.

Marvin’s director of materials, Paul Marvin is quoted “We’re happy to invite our friends from Loewen to Warroad, to show them how we play hockey in Minnesota.”

The winner of this inaugural game? MARVIN at a score of 9-1, NICE!

As expected there will be a rematch, which was already planned before Saturday’s game, so stay tuned…
